Minnesota Wild

The professional team from Minnesota which made became a member of the National Hockey League, namely Minnesota Wild, is comparatively young but in the few years of its being in the limelight has earned it countless dedicated fans who have supported the team through all the highs and lows with great emotional bonding, although the team has been witness to more of losses than successes. However, the loss could not hold Wilds back and with all the strength of the wilderness, are determined to strive to achieve the utmost success in the scenario of ice hockey in the US.

With its base and training ground located in the city of Saint Paul, the Minnesota Wild was officially founded in the year 1997, through many negotiations and considerations and soon became part of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference in the NHL or National Hockey League. However, the team played its first season in the year 2000 under the supervision of the coach Jacques Lemaire but this season did not bring them any success however, they gained the confidence of the crowd who believed they had the potential to get to the top. In the following season from 2001 to 2002, the Minnesota Wild again stood last but the sticker Gaborik made great name for himself by scoring thirty goals. The years after this too could not do much good for the team but Gaborik and Brian Rolston shined as the stars of the season by scoring thirty eight and seventy nine goals respectively at the end of the 2005-06 seasons.

In the year 2007 season too the team was eliminated from the league playoffs. But despite the bad seasons for all these years, there are quite a few other awards and trophies that were won by the Minnesota Wild including Jack Adams Award, Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award and William M. Jennings Trophy.
