Minnesota Timberwolves

One of the greatest basketball teams of the state, Minnesota Timberwolves has had a long history in the basketball scenario of Minnesota, and the strength of the team is blindly believed in by the fans, although it never one a national league game. Founded in the year 1989, it brought back the sport into the state which was long dead and gone, with the permission of the NBA or National Basketball Association of which it is a member today. The name adopted by the team is quite reflected in the colors used in the team as part of the jersey, flag and logo and these colors include black, forest green, blue and silver. Owned by Glen Taylor, the Minnesota Timberwolves has provided the league, with star players whose names shine in this field even to this day.

Following the inception, the Minnesota Timberwolves faced a first few hiccups by losing to Seattle SuperSonics and went on to face another defeat in the home ground at the Metrodome at the hands of Chicago Bulls but soon they went on to get their first win in Minneapolis after a few days. Since then, they played in Midwest Division and stood in sixth position. On one of the matches, they drew the third largest crowd ever recorded in NBA in the year 1990, when they lost to the Denver Nuggets. Thereafter, many changes took place and new coaches took over and a conscious effort was made to recreate the team by signing some important players.

This brought a lot of change in the attitude of the team and went on to remain in the lead in one of the seasons of the divisions. The team, however, lost in all the playoffs, despite reaching up to the third position and failed to become the champion of the NBA championship.
