For a proper education resources are one of the primary pre-requisites. The education system of Minnesota is superb and the libraries in Minnesota contribute a lot to the brilliance of Minnesota education system. There are many libraries in Minnesota offering resources on different aspect of Minnesota.
CALCO, the Capital Area Library Consortium serves the public and state employees with a state government library group. There are unique resources on state government in these libraries. The resources are available in a variety of formats including electronic, microforms, A/Vs, newspapers, journals and books. The publications of the libraries are on various topics like transportation, public policy, legislation, history, health, fire safety, natural resources, environment, economics, business and arts.

Some of the other Government-State libraries are MN State Services for the Blind, Minnesota State library Services, Minnesota State Law Library and Minnesota Legislative Reference Library.
Washington County Law Library and Hennepin County Law library are the two Government Law library in Minnesota.
There are several public libraries in Minnesota. One of them is the Lake Agassiz Regional Library. It is a consolidated system of public library for the people of Minnesota. The administrative office of LARL is in Moorhead. LARL comprises of 10 LINK sites and 13 branch libraries. Some of the public libraries are Adrian Branch Library, Bayport Public Library, Buckham Memorial Library, Dakota County ublic Library and more.
For scholars and academicians there are several libraries in Minnesota. Bemidji State University Library is a prominent library in Minnesota. This library offers all the required databases to the students. Some of the other academic libraries in Minnesota are Argosy University, Central Lakes College, Bethel College and Seminary and others.
There are several special libraries in Minnesota. The Baken Library and Museum is a unique library of Minnesota. There are 11, 000 manuscripts, bound journals and books in the library. Most of the materials are on the 18th, 19th and 20th century's history of electrotherapeutics, electrophysiology and electricity. For research work one has to take prior appointments. Some other special Minnesota libraries are Hill Monastic Manuscript Library, James J. Hill Reference Library, Minnesota Genealogical Society and others.
