The Minnesota Secretary of State is an important government department of Minnesota which is doing a great job in keeping a proper record of the official documents. The department is regarded as the “keeper of the great seal of the State of Minnesota”. And it sanctions the authenticity of official files and documents. Thus, the Minnesota Secretary of State is rendering a highly impressive service as far as the maintenance of the government documents are concerned.
Apart from looking after the files, the Minnesota Secretary of State registers numerous business organizations including assumed business names, insurance companies, corporations, banks, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships and limited liability companies.

The Minnesota Secretary of State has introduced computerized network so that anybody can access to the Uniform Commercial Code from any state filing office. This system has really facilitated the common people. The Minnesota Secretary of State is the chief election official of Minnesota and being so, it is vested with the responsibility of supervising the Minnesota election law and framing administrative policy for the same. The department is also into the management of the open appointment process and publication of the Minnesota Legislative Manual.
